Because deep within us, is a in-built desire to better ourselves. So we look up to what we feel is better. What emanates from the teacher are teachings for us to follow. The teachings might be simple, it might not be unique but when we venerate a teacher, everything that he \/ she teaches becomes special. The teachers help us grow mentally, spiritually or emotionally. They are the catalysts of change within us. What this school has done is the negation of those sacred values and thoughts.
