How to surmount my ego

I do always harbor a delusion that I’m a nice man. I feel everyone should have a good opinion if not an fulsome admiration for me. I’m not Mr Perfect but I’m not a bad entity either. If you aren’t necessarily bad, you are a good man. I love the people I come in contact, why can’t they be like me ? Why can’t they reciprocate in the similar vein. Why can’t I get along with every one ? Many people hate me, contradict me and ignore me. One penny question – Am I alone with this complex ? Did I ever ask myself : why the people don’t care for me ?

A wise man has said, “When people say they do not care what others think of them, for the most part they deceive themselves. Generally they mean only that they will do as they choose, in the confidence that no one will know their vagaries; and at the utmost only that they are willing to act contrary to the opinion of the majorities because they are supported by the approval of their neighbors. It’s not difficult to be unconventional in the eyes of the world when your unconventionality is but the convention of your set.” It would give me little relief if I accept this theory.

However, everyone is EGOISTS in this world. The levels may be at variance. Everyone wants to be superior to next person he or she meets. We may hide these feelings in the most sophisticated manner, style and language but we all are hypocrites. We all are the victim of a strange complex which you may term as superiority or inferiority complex. These complexes are invisibly intertwined. Superiority Complex is the acute form of Inferiority Complex.
We all need friends and we have two type of friends. A friend who tells point blank that I’m a loser. I may not like this friend. No one ever likes him anyway. And we have the other kind of friend who will always tell me that I’m a great guy. He lies but still he is the best friend ? It is socially acceptable to offer mild false praise. Its symbolic of mediocrity. We all want to be honest but we end up doing the opposite. Honesty is the best policy but the deliverance of this policy is also an art. Advice delivered in a caustic manner doesn‘t go far. We can’t see our shortcomings ourselves. That’s why it is necessary to surround ourselves with people who will tell us the truth about us – even when we don’t want to hear it. Still we let down the same best friends and they let down us at times.
Let us realize that human nature is prone to egoism. We do always want to receive. We feel ‘giving up‘ could be a virtue and ‘giving in’ is defeat. The law of nature is quite contrary to that. It is based upon altruism. The essential force which binds us is love. The whole balance of existence is based on giving in. The whole flora and fauna give in for us. The ecosystem of the universe revolves around giving in. As Paulo Coelho of “The Achemist’ has said – The whole universe conspires for us when we move forward. The separate objects which surround us work together just like organs within our body. Everything in nature functions that way except for the inner life of an individual that’s me.

I love to receive as much as possible to satisfy myself and I care two hoots about giving the least amount of effort to anyone. I always end up being at the expense of others. Our most outwardly kind and generous acts are done only with the intention of self-gratification. Is it our fault ? Aren’t we were built this way ? Hate, avarice and greed are integral part of our nature. How to mold these negative instincts into a positive energy ? Can’t we just turn around our egoistic nature in a way that allows us to rise above it. Religion and not the science has the solution for this dilemma. “Love our Neighbor as our self – Love others exactly as you love yourself! – Putting their interests before anything else – just like you do with your own self interest now.”

How could you kill someone you love ?

I believe a broken affair should not stink like a rotten fish. There is a good reason to be sad but life is too beautiful to remain melancholy long. If we love someone we have to learn to live with illusions also.

SOME ONE has said, “Love is wanting happiness and everything that is good for your loved one. Love is not wanting someone, it’s wanting what is best for them. I don’t care if he is with someone else, as long as he is happy. Knowing that he is happy is all I need. It’s about sacrifice.”

As one who believed that Love is God its very difficult to understand the unwarranted climax of this Love Situation: The 26-year-old son of a Delhi advocate, Love is God, reportedly committed suicide on Monday after allegedly stabbing his former friend Deepshikha Arora to death inside his car on Monday.

Her body was found in Varun’s car. The car was parked in a clearing near the Cross River Mall in East Delhi.

Police sources said her throat had been slit and there were deep stab wounds on her chest, chin and arms. The 25-year-old was left bleeding, the police said. From a note found near Deepshikha’s body, the police have surmised it might be a case of unrequited love. The note read: “You are not faithful to me. You don’t love me. You love somebody else.” The Mathura police said Varun had thrown himself on the railway tracks.

His father Deep Mehta accompanied Delhi officers to Mathura for identification.

“I’m not here to pass a moral judgment but to understand an ultimate dimension of love that is Marriage. I’m or I’ve an illusion that I’m an eternal cockeyed optimist;I always look for a rainbow after any sorrowful storm. What was there in his mind when Varun Mehta killed the fated unfortunate Deepshikha ?

What was there in his mind in those final fatal moments before Varun threw himself on the railway tracks ? Was it love or just an ephemeral infatuation ? After the girl jilted or he realized that she is not his baby, was it not possible for him to just cling to her memories, often with tears and laughter ? May be she was a good girl but she was, of course, she was not the best. Memories are more soothing and relaxing than marriage and the accompanied humdrum of life. Couldn’t he wait the situation to cool down ? Being a lawyer he must have known a lot of stormy love marriages that end in ugly divorces – within short time. Love and marriage are not the ‘be all’ and ‘end all’ of life.

Why there are so many divorces now a days ? These characters who bulldoze every thoughts of sanity aren’t the real lovers. As the old Indian song goes – “Phalsafa pyar ka tum kya Jano….” Let me emphasize here that if you fall in love, you fail in love. Isn’t strange ? The real lovers grow in love ! It takes time; it demands commitment; it demands sacrifice and it asks for dedication.
I fully agree that no two people and no two situations are perfect. Many lover become peas in a pod. The perfect people often end up in Real Ashrams, Monasteries and Darghas. When you expect nothing you will never be disappointed.

You try to understand them, help them and you don’t disown them.

You can’t fall in and out of love the way you catch a cold.

THE SALVATION ISLE AMROHA, AMRO-TALE NO.-1

AMROHA , which was , no doubt ,the jazeera-e-taharat for all , needs no introduction but my emotions compelled me to represent it’s portrait in the form of Socio-spiritual Amro-Tales printed in my heart and soul. By the grace of Allah I could give the structure to my inspiration in five chapters of the Amro-Tales under the most appropriate title –‘’Jazeera- e –Taharat- Amroha ‘’ as Amro-Tale-1,2,3,4 and 5 and I hope to publish them as early as possible in the convenient installments with the help of precious comments and suggestions of the readers who have always provided reinforcement to carry out the task . May God help me to represent this beautiful portrait of Amroha . [Ameen!]

AMRO-TALE NO. -1

AN INNOCENT PIECE OF LAND

Amroha is the name of that innocent piece of land which was not less than a heaven on the earth where the heart – beats were to win the heartiest blessings of each other in all the communities .IT IS THE KOH-E-TOOR OF INDIA where all the senses become able to recognizably realize the invisible divine power of the Lord of heavens and the earth and all in between them that once guided to Hz.Moosa Kaleemullah to preach the path of righteousness to the nation for establishing the truth and discarding the evils .Such small but spiritually prosperous and pleasant land is undoubtedly the mother of peace and comfort for all the communities maintaining it’s, almost natural and healthy ecosystem. It is such a DISTINGUISHED LAND where the peoples and their qualities can be introduced very easily ,if a single suffix –AMROHI is attached with their names.

AMROHA ME BAHUMDILLAH, LATAFUT HAI, LIYAQUT HAI,
PORKAIF SI NAZAKAT HAI TO MEEYARI SHARAFUT HAI,
ZIYAFUT HAI, SAKHAVAT HAI, HUR AIK KI HIFAZUT HAI,
AMROHA KO ADAVUT HAI TO SHARARAT SE ADAVUT HAI.

AMROHA, THE CITY OF INTELLECTUALITY, city of SPIRITUALLITY and the CITY OF HOSPITALITY-

AMROHA is the witness of different civilizations starting from about 500 B.C. Geo-graphical location of Amroha is excellently favourable for most of the forms of life creating a bio-friendly environment for all the creatures. It is a plane area in the prosperous lap of Himaliyan belt of KUMAON and the sacred river GANGES having ample of natural resources. The extra-ordinary qualities of the innocent island have been always attracting the peoples of the world and they feel proud if they have the links with Amroha.

RESEMBLANCE OF THE NAME WITH KARBALA-

Nothing in the universe is without any force ,even the tiniest particle has its influence over the co –existing objects. The reason of the qualities of this pleasant place maybe it’s devotion to the Almighty God ,Prophet Mohammad and his Ahlebet because the numeric value of the word Amroha and that of Karbala is same in the science of numerology. And Karbala is the symbol of victory of divine truth over evils thereby Karbala has become the divine university of Humanity for entire Ashraful Makhloqaat with the sacrifice of Imam Husain as the substitute of the postponed sacrifice of Hz. Ismael. This resemblance maybe the reason , which made Amroha a prominent place of peace and humanity.

ORIGIN OF THE NAME –AMROHA;-

The fact of the matter is that Amroha was ,as the FOUNTAUN OF SWEET AND SOFT WATER IN THE SALINE OCEAN which once upon a time attracted the people before Christ and the township came in existence. It is said that a king Amer Jodha loved this place very much and he started the township here , so the name of this place had become Amarjodha that was transformed as Amroha.
The origin of the word Amroha may be deep rooted in the Sanskrit language because the ancient Bharat [Hindostan] was highly influenced by the Vedic Sermons having revelations of one God , life and death basic philosophy of life in VEDIC PERIOD was concerned with PARAM ATMA (ALLAH), AATMA and the PRAKRITI(NATURE), so the names were mostly given on the prakriti(nature) of the object.
The name Amroha might be derived from AMRVANAH as symbolic for forest of mango in respect of the nature. Certainly it would be the scientific – approach of the vedic period . More-over , religion and the science have always been considered to be twin sisters not only in ISLAM but in all the religions, so the name AMROHA would have been considered as the best one in all respects. In this way ,we see , during the long course of time Amrvanah would have been change in the form of Amroha.

The another possibility behind the name of AMROHA ,which is also related with the nature, is also equally genuine that it may be the combination of Aam and Rohu (the name of a species of fish) as Aamrohu telling the important natural gifts given by the God to this land and it might be converted as Amroha.
During the period of SHAH JAHAN it was also called as AAMBROHA in it’s Persian version due to the common use of Persian and Arabic languages by the advancement of different rulers in India. Anyway whatsoever be the reason of the name Amroha, we know only that it is that pious land which could not be contaminated even by any satanic volunteer .It is pretty incomprehensible to express it’s positive powerful influence on the peoples and we feel us privileged having the strong bonding with this excellent land of SALVATION -AMROHA where most of the positive energies are induced in our bodies
by the inspiring nature of the land.

Amroha wo jageh hai jahan sharf shahon ne paya hai,
Jazeera-e-taharat hai kaleem, AHMAD ka saya hai.

ISLAMIC AND ZOROASTRIAN NAVROZ

The Navroz is assumed as the day when the cosmos came in well designed action form of universe by the will of All benefeciant and All merciful Creator Allah from nothingness when Allah was alone-

”Na tha kochh toh Khuda tha,
Nahota kochh toh Khoda hota” [Mirza Ghalib]

See Sura-e Al-Araf [7;54]–”Bismillah hir rehman……….Inna rabba komol lahul lazi khalaqas samawat-e-wal arza fi sittati aiyamin sommastawa alil arsh.Yaghshil lailon nahara yatlobohu hasisaun washshamsa wal qamara wun nojoma mosakhkharatin bi amr-e-hi alal lahol khalqo wal amro tabarakallaho rabbil aalamin”
Your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and established Himself on the throne. He covers the day with the night and each pursuing the other urgently;and the sun and the moon and stars are subservient to His command.Both creation and command belong to Him. Bless be Allah,the Lord of all worlds.

In accordance with “ Kitabal-TahfimLi Awail Tanzim ” written by Abu Rayhan Bruini in 10th century AD “ The universe started it’s motion soon after it’s creation by the will of the God on 21st March, the first day of functional universe”. So in Persian calendar 21st March is considered as new year’s day called as Navroz. In this sense it should be the most ancient festival. So it had been celebrated in different ways in different eras and in different areas.

Astrologically Navroz is a day of great importance because it is the day when the length of night is quite equal to the length of the day and the sun rises above the equator of the Earth entering in the constellation of Aeries and such a celestial state is termed as VERNAL EQUINOX of sun when spring season starts. Different communities celebrate it in different forms that do not matter but what matters, is addition of unworthy rituals in the celebration of the festival.

The Navroz festival can be categorized in two forms–
1. Zoroastrian Navroz–
It was started by the emperor of Persia, Zoroaster two centuries before Jesus Christ. It was also popular even in 648 BC to 330 BC in Achaemenid Era when exchange of gifts and blessings took place. During the period of Zoroaster the people celebrated it with worship of fire following the Zoroaster’s book Zendavista while Allah sent His apostles to preach that nothing was worthy to be worshiped except one Almighty, all powerful Lord of heavens and Earth- Allah, but more or less the same methodology was continued to celebrate Navroz in central and South Asia, Northern China, Bosnia, Serbia and Macedonia etc.. Legendry kings like Cyrus and Darius who ruled over Persian Empire celebrated the day of Vernal Equinox nearly six thousand years before Christ so we see that before the introduction of Islam all the theories and methodologies of this festival were non Islamic full of pomp and show ,worship of fire and most of the rituals were promoting the atheism.

2. Islamic Navroz-
with the introduction of Islam by the most adored prophet of Allah-Hz.Mohammad[s.w.] most of the absurdities were washed out or sidelined during 650A.D.from the celebrations of Navroz and the day had become the day of performing more prayers and glorification of Allah Who created the all the worlds .So this day of Vernal Equinox had been celebrated as Happy New Year Day in Persian calendar and during the period of four great Caliphs it remained as the day fully submitted to Almighty Allah,His prayers and for exchange of blessings among the peoples.During Abbasi Period , Navroz was declared as a Royal Holiday.
This day is assumed as the day when thousands of peoples died of plague were re-alive by Hz.Eesa[A.S.][Jesus Christ] when he sprinkled water droplets over them[Quran- Sura-e-Baqr-2,243]
The day of Navroz is also assumed as the day when Hisqeel ,the cousinof Pharoah repented his unworthiness and the God gave him miraculous spiritual power when he prepared a wooden box to save newly born Moosa from the tyranny of Pharoah and he was pioneer to accept Moosa as Allah’s Prophet in the court of Pharoah.
This day is also assumed as specially significant day in Muslims because Hz.Imam Ali ibne-Abitalib,cousin and son in law of Hz. Mohammad was declared as Khaliph on 21st.March 656 A.D. as Yom-e-Ghadeer.
But now again the same problem of unworthy practices is overcoming the holiness of the aim of the celebration of Navroz which may tarnish the dignity and decrease the gravity of Islamic Navroz.We have been sometimes somewhere forgetting the depth of our pious festivals. We forget that a rotten apple injures its companion . In the present scenario we cross the boundaries of values to see on the other side of the hedge and fall in the spoiling marsh of evils.
But see, it is the quality of godly men that they try their best to save the peoples from satanic evils which is an uphill task, yet they never loose their positive efforts to make an unspotted value oriented strong nation..They know that—-

Ye ishq nahin aasan bas itna samajh leejea,
Aik aag ka dariya ha aur doob ke jana ha.

So the NAVROZ SHOULD BE CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASTIC SUBMISSION TO THE LORD OF THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTHS AND ALL IN BETWEEN THEM FROM OUR INNER CORE OF PIOUS HEARTS.So the peoples should perform the prayers and glorify the blessings of Allah to get the ability to serve the nation more and more better and we should pay lots of thanks to Allah who created the universe and the best of all creations ”Anima rationalis” to follow the righteous path of divine reality of Doomsday which is certain and everybody will face it.So if w e are true humane we should not deform our healthy rituals of not only Navroz but all of our festivals by adding nonsense formalities and activities for the sake of following the commandments of the Lord of the worlds.

A cruel joke near Batla House

The Amnesty International report highlights how trials of political or security detainees in Saudi Arabia take place in extreme secrecy and fail to meet international standards of fairness.

Nothing could be a more flagrant travesty of truth, mockery of norms of the civil society and an insult to the dignity of human beings than the following news : “JAMIA MILLIA Islamia has conferred the Doctor of Letters ‘Honoris Causa’ degree on Prince Salman, Saudi Arabia for his contributions to humanitarian causes.”

Whoever is behind this joke of the millennium should know that this felicitation was a slap on the Democratic Values of Secular World Society. I am referring some reports of Amnesty International to open the eyes of JAMEYEES if these are not available in their libraries:

The Saudi Arabian authorities have launched a sustained assault on human rights under the façade of countering terrorism, Amnesty International said in a new report in July 2009.

Thousands of people have been arrested and detained in virtual secrecy, while others have been killed in uncertain circumstances. Hundreds more people face secret and summary trials and possible execution. Many are reported to have been tortured in order to extract confessions or as punishment after conviction.

As recently as 8 July 2009, the Ministry of Justice announced that 330 people had been tried for terrorism offences with sentences ranging from fines to the death penalty. However, neither the names of those tried nor the details of the charges against them were disclosed, maintaining the extreme secrecy of the trial process.

Malcolm Smart, Director of Amnesty International’s Middle East and North Africa Program had made the following comments: “These unjust anti-terrorism measures have made an already dire human rights situation worse. The Saudi Arabian government has used its powerful international clout to get away with it. And the international community has failed to hold the government to account for these gross violations.”

Of the thousands detained by the authorities, some are prisoners of conscience, targeted for their peaceful criticism of government policies. The majority are suspected supporters of Islamist groups or factions opposed to the Saudi Arabian government’s close links to the USA and other Western countries. Such groups have carried out a number of attacks targeting Westerners and others, and are officially dubbed as “misguided”. The detained also include people forcibly returned from Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen and other countries.

“The abuses take place behind a wall of secrecy. Detainees are held with no idea of what is going to happen to them,” said Malcolm Smart.

“Most are held incommunicado for years without trial, and are denied access to lawyers and the courts to challenge the legality of their detention. This has a devastating effect on both the individuals who are detained and on their families.”

The anti-terrorism measures adopted by the government since the attacks in the USA on 11 September 2001 have exacerbated long-standing human rights abuses in the country.

Arbitrary arrests and prolonged detention of political and security suspects without trial and without access to lawyers have been long-standing human rights problems in Saudi Arabia. However, the number of people being detained arbitrarily has risen from hundreds to thousands since 2001. Those arrested include Saudi Arabians and foreign nationals.

In July 2007, the Interior Minister reported that 9,000 security suspects had been detained between 2003 and 2007 and that 3,106 of them are still being held. Others have been moved to an official “re-education” program, though it is unclear how they are selected and under what conditions they can obtain release.

Reported methods of torture and other ill-treatment include severe beatings with sticks, punching, and suspension from the ceiling, use of electric shocks and sleep deprivation. Flogging is also imposed as a legal punishment by itself or in addition to imprisonment, and sentences can include thousands of lashes.

The Amnesty International report highlights how trials of political or security detainees in Saudi Arabia take place in extreme secrecy and fail to meet international standards of fairness. In March this year, the government announced that the trials of 991 detainees accused of capital offences had begun in a special criminal court.

I don’t know how the peace-loving students who value the dignity of human life really felt about this felicitation.

IPL nautanki must be checked, accounted for

Sharad Pawar is one of India’s powerful regional politicians, at times on the cusp of becoming prime minister. The closest he got – and perhaps ever will – was following Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination, when Narasimha Rao got the job.

FLASH BACK a few years and many of the readers would recollect a speech in parliament delivered by ex Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar. In one of his poignant remarks he had reminded Sharad Pawar that money and power is not to be the all and end all of life.

The speech could still be retrieved from the archives of Parliament. I have loved and respected Pawar as the last vestige of Chanakya brand politics. As a horse of long race, he somehow always clinged to power but I am sorry to observe he is also a perennial loser where moral standards are concerned. Sharad Pawar is one of India’s powerful regional politicians, at times on the cusp of becoming prime minister.

The closest he got – and perhaps ever will – was following Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination, when Narasimha Rao got the job. When he first became a state minister, way back in 1966, Pawar’s only connection to cricket was a tenuous one – his father-in-law, Sadu Shinde, was a Test legspinner, who toured England in 1946. With his stunning victory over Jagmohan Dalmiya’s nominee Ranbir Singh Mahendra at the 76th AGM of the board, Pawar is now at the head of the country’s cricket administration.

As the federal agriculture minister of a nation still prone to droughts and mass suicides by farmers he had hardly acquired any feather in his cap. Had he played his cards well, he could have been the Prime Minister of India today. His problem is – he wants to bite more than he could chew. Even with all his peculiarities and foxy politics he has been reduced to an inefficient minister who can’t even manage properly the stocks of wheat at his disposal. He can’t handle rats, forget about rest of animate or innanimate subjects or objects. He is squarely blamed for the rising prices of every essential commodity and his nexus with Bal Thackrey, though it got him some seats in Maharashtra had already made him a person you can’t trust.

Tharoor and PM

Romesh Sharma seem to have left no pastime but to criticize PM Manmohan Singh. He is not perturbed because he is a man of principles. Three days back he had said in Washington that he had heard about the allegations against Tharoor.”I do not have all the facts before me. When I go back, I will get all the facts, and in the light of those, if any action is necessary, I think that would be the proper way to proceed.” What else Romesh Sharma was expecting him to say ? That Sonia Gandhi is a powerful leader and she had single handedly revived congress is a well known fact. If a P.M. of a ruling party consults the President of his party what is so strange in it ? Criticism just for the sake of criticism is the hobby of those who can’t see farther their nose or don’t want to see anything that disturbs their fancies. Tharoor is a flamboyant character who has given some color to an otherwise drab and dull profession. He should be punished if he is found guilty.

The bravery is the boon of true confidence and untired journey on the pathway of righteousness predicted by the Lord of Heavens and the Earth and all in between them .It brings health ,happiness,wealth , prosperity,knowledge, wisdom, freedom, justice and trust for all the individuals and so for the nation .Falsehood is the worst animy of all these qualities because the falsehood is generated by the frustration of our inner Hell due to the lesser connectivity with the Creator of the Universe.
As a matter of fact sometimes we become unable to decide what is right and what is wrong and the confusion creates unwanted stress making us worried , whenever such a situation is created we should become more conscious and more transparent to do our acts.We have to avoide the deeds to perform having the fear of their disclosure among others. We should not do the things that can anyhow make us ashamed. If there is even a little desire to hide our deed, it is certain that it is not worthy of us and we are somehow afraid of the people can know it and it would be the washing of dirty linnon in the publc. It means it is creating fear which will disturb our peace and happiness.
On the other hand , if we think the biological consequences of fear we will find that it is most harmful for the health because fear negatively activate our body organs to secrete poisionous nitrogenous complex organic compounds[harmful enzymes] that adversely affects our Central Nervous Systom that can create any functional disorder in our body and if the body is affected by fear, it becomes difficult to be diagnosed and results in further psychological problems making the life as a burden and simultaniously the society also gets its harmful impact.
The fear makes us coward and spoils our careers making the life worthless. We must be true to become brave and if we are brave we will not tell the lies and will not be afraid of anything that will harm us or our dignity.

See,if there is a desire to hide our deed,means we are somewhere escaping from our resposibilities or we are doing something unworthy that may be shameful for us . This silent inward hell makes us unhappy and disturbed .We know it very well that we can not keep anything secret out of the God’s vision and when the God , the Creator of the universe knows our deeds then what for we hide from others and if we think it unworthy of us , we should discard it and follow the correct way to avoid the fear of disclosure to get the blessings of Almighty God so that can can enjoy really fearless and happy lieves.

We should not forget our true ambitions to get the real success in our lieves keeping us involved in absurdities of shallow funs and vulgarities of intellectually bankrupt peoples but we have to search and follow the worthy peoples, otherwise, always a blind following the blind will also be fallen in the ditch with him. So, remember ,if our friends are good we will be mutually motivated to do the best worthy of us which will generate lots of positive energy free from all the fears making us physically,mentally and emotionally balanced and healthy, and we will become brave and worthy, so the future would certainly be bright [Inshallah] .
We should also not forget our aim of life with our ambitions to strengthen the humanity.So we have to search and follow the path of truth and sould love our country and the nation to get the true honour in the society.Love is the part and parcel for building a prosperous society and remember- the truth that hurts the feelings of others should not be expressed at all because such a truth is—in the words of WILLIAM BLAKE—‘-‘-‘A truth that is told with bad intent beats all the lies you can invent”.So always follow the path of love and sympathy for the purification of souls and be brave ,fearless and worthy ..

There is no room in it for swindlers, double crossers, tricksters, or traitors. Islam views cheating and deception as heinous sins, a source of shame to the one guilty of committing them, both in this world and the next.

THAT SANIA Mirza is hell bent to marry Shoaib Malik is not my problem. My feelings or feelings of my countrymen for Sania does not matter at this juncture. She is out of the picture as a girl, who would reap very soon what she is sowing now.

,As the adage goes – There are other ways to kill a cat than choking it with butter. If the Hyderabadis thought it fit to kill the last flicker of hope of friendship between India and Pakistan with this marriage they can stick to their opinion. My problem is Shoaib Malik.

Till yesterday, he was calling Ayesha as a girl he had never seen. He was saying that he was duped into believing that Ayesha was some third woman whose photographs he was shown. Since nikah with intention to cheat is not valid, Sania will be his first wife. Now when the cat is out of the bag he is admitting his marriage to Ayesha aka Maha. FIR filed by Siddiquis will be dropped now. Shoaib and Sania will now marry and would live happily hereafter.

Since both are Muslims and both should know that flirting with other women for a married man is tantamount to serious offence. Shoaib flirted with Sania when Ayesha was his wife. He was successful in trapping an innocent girl in marriage is another offence.

Let Sania Mirza, if not Shoaib Malik should know that Muslim society is based on purity of feeling, love, sincerity and fulfillment of promises to every member of society. Its members are endowed with piety, truthfulness and faithfulness. Cheating and deception are alien characters in contrast to the noble character of a true Muslim.

The Prophet, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, did not merely denounce such people by excluding them from the Muslim community in this world, he also announced that on the Day of Judgment every traitor would be raised carrying the flag of his betrayal.

A caller will cry out from the vast arena of judgment, pointing to him, drawing attention to him: “Every traitor will have a banner on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said: This is the betrayer of so-and-so.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari).

The shame of traitors – men and women – will be immense. Those who thought that their betrayal had been forgotten will find it right there, exposed for the whole world to see on banners raised high held by their own hands.

Their shame will increase even more when they meet with the prophet of mercy, the advocate of the sinners on that terrifying and horrible day. Their crime is of such enormity that it will deprive them of divine mercy and the prophet’s intercession. The Prophet of Islam said: “God said: I will oppose on the Day of Resurrection: a man who gave his word and then betrayed it.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari).

“There are four characteristics, whoever has all of them is a true hypocrite and whoever has one of them has one of the qualities of a hypocrite until he gives it up: when he is trusted, he betrays; when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he disputes, he resorts to slander.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim).

The tragic death of AMU Professor is shameful

India is neither Darul Islam nor the Indian Constitution has permitted the prosecution if the act is committed with mutual consent by mature individuals.

THE ALIGARH Muslim University professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras was found dead Wednesday in his rented accommodation in mysterious circumstances. The death came to light after neighbors found foul smell emanating from his room. Police broke into his room to find the decomposed body on the bed. It has traces of blood that had oozed from his mouth. The circumstantial evidence was hardly enough to zero on the cause of death, police said.

That homosexuality has been a reality of life since time immemorial and no followers of any religion can claim to be immune to this habit. If a country is a declared Darul Islam (absolute majority of practicing Muslims) than homosexuality is a cardinal sin and subject to the rule of Shariah Code, provided the offender is also a Muslim. India is neither DI nor the Indian Constitution has permitted the prosecution if the act is committed with mutual consent by mature individuals.

The deceased Professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras was a Reader and Head of Modern Indian Languages department. He was suspended on February 9 for being gay (his partner was a rickshaw puller and he was an outsider) under Rule 403 – C of University Statute which covers gross misconduct.

He was not a Muslim and laws of Shariah were not applicable for him. His acts of homosexuality didn’t involve any student of the university and he did what he did exclusively in his private apartment. It was none of the University’s business.

Action should have been taken against those who had put the cameras in his private space. Instead of prosecuting these peeping toms and sting operators, a learned scholar was sacrificed at the altar of high standard of morality. Whatever might be the reasons for his death, no one can deny that he was forced to absolute humiliation and social mental torture as the university administration took a hasty action to prove their efficient HMS (high moral standard).

While no one can make a generalized statement in such a situation, one can ask these mace bearers of high morality if they can with 100 % assurance that the practice of homosexuality had never been or is not there today in absolute clinical terms? How many incidents have been reported in the past and what punishments were given? The ‘holier than thou’ attitude does no favour any ideology. May be the Old Boys of Aligarh would recollect and recall a few famous names of the past who were known for this activity. This unfortunate professor deserved a better treatment.
