Like most of the times Romesh Sharma is wide of the mark. I’m saying it euphemistically. He is taking up the cudgels for an undefendable plank. He is a poduct of the putrid and opportunistic RSS IDOLOGIES where people change their colors as chameleon. They are not worried about the integrity of the country. What these saffron divisionist have given to Maharashtra except miseries? Mararthi is Indian language and its mother tongue of most of Maharashtrians. It must get its due respect. As a matter of fact most of the people staying in Mumbai speak this language. What is the point in raising the issue that is non-existent. Thackery clan and Saffron Brigade loosing its popularity in Maharshtra and all over the country. They would employ every shoddy and shabby means to save their sinking boats. Fanatics like Sharma who can’t see farther their nose are always available in Lal Bagh and Nagpur to support the dubious games. To capture power they would sacrifice any precious Indian value.
WHO AM I
(S.Kaleem Sibtain Naqvi)

New Delhi-30
It is the question of each individual of anima rationalis(ashraful makhloqat) that all the organs of my body belong to me and are said as my heart, my hands, my nose and my eyes etc. but this ‘my’ pronoun is governed by ‘I’ which is the replacement of any proper noun. So superficially the reality of ‘I’ was very difficult to understand since the origin of man.
The question of ‘I’ can be easily solved if we go through the Holy Book of Entire Knowledge, the collection of entire Revelation of mysteries of the universe told by Allah to Hz. Mohammad Mustafa (S.W.), Qur’an, which is the solution of all the problems and Islam is the simplest and the easiest religion consisting of the extract of all the religions of humanity.
Mirza Ghalib says:
Na tha kochh to khuda tha,
Kochh na hota to khuda hota,
Duboya mujh ko hone ne,
Na hota main toh kya hota.
“Main (I)” is not a substance made of matter but is only the power of life created by Almighty God with some specific divine purpose.
Tennyson says in his “The Two Voices”-
” That God, which ever lives lones,
One God, one law, one element,
And one for all divine events,
To which the whole creation moves.”
The Almighty God created me and ‘I’ is that abstract element which is divine and the Almighty Allah has given it the power of rationalization to discriminate good & evil & the power to follow either the path of righteousness or of evils as commanded in Qur’an. So ‘I’ is free to do good or evil through the body made of material but there are rewards for goodness & punishment for the evils in the real another world of life.
So ‘I’ is the divine abstract, hidden spirit or soul or power of life in the body. When this hidden abstract or soul leaves the body, the death approaches & no dead says -‘I’, where this ‘I’ has gone. This ‘I’ get transferred from this body to another world for the real life depending upon the fate of the deeds performed in this world.

Chidambaram’s tact does the country proud
With his simple statement criticizing the IPL’s insult to Pakistani cricket players P. Chidambaram has absolved the government of all responsibility in the sorry matter. He is a rare wise man in a country where politicians only add fuel to fire.
TO ALL the readers of Merinews I wish Happy Republic Day, the day when apart from all religious books, the best compilation of the wisest and farsighted ideas in the book form “The Indian constitution” was implemented. Let us forget the mockery that Indian politicians have made of this holy Indian book. Gimmick and cheap publicity have always been the name of his game.
A wise man is generally known for the following attributes:
The ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting. He has insight, common sense, good judgment, a wise outlook, a plan and a course of action. He is bold and courageous.
India is blessed with a Home Minister who seems to be in possession of all the above qualities.
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Monday said ignoring Pakistani cricketers for the Indian Premier League’s third season was a “disservice to cricket”, but said the government didn’t give any “hint or nudge” to the league or the teams to do so.
“I think it is a disservice to cricket that some of these players were not picked. I don’t know why the IPL teams acted in the manner they acted. But certainly to suggest that there was a hint or nudge from the government is completely untrue,” the Minister told a news channel. Chidambaram said some of the cricketers were “among the best in Twenty20” and he was disappointed that they wouldn’t be playing in the IPL. “Cricket lovers are disappointed that no player from Pakistan was picked. I think that could have been avoided. We gave the visas and we have nothing to do with this,” he said. Asked if Pakistan was over-reacting on the issue, Chidambaram said, “If no player from a country is picked, obviously the country does feel insulted. But whether the reaction is proportionate or not it is not for me to comment.”
Let Manish Tewari and Shukla hide their heads in shame for speaking off the cuff.
And now listen to a neutral foreigner who could have had a vested interest but he is showing the courage to call a spade a spade. Rajasthan Royals coach Darren Berry revealed that the team was eyeing Umar Akmal but something “sinister was bubbling behind the scenes” that resulted in a collective snub to the Pakistani players at the auction. “I do not have all the information — and possibly never will as this was a very delicate issue played out behind the scenes. However, I do know — due to my coaching role with the Rajasthan Royals — that a few weeks ago Umar Akmal was No 1 priority on the Royals’ shopping list,” Berry was quoted as saying by The Age. “All of a sudden he was not available. As the auction unfolded live on TV in India, it became evident that it wasn’t just Umar Akmal who was in the no-go zone, but all of the Pakistan players,” he said.
Berry said Shahid Afridi & Co are justified when they say they feel slighted. “I am staggered at the treatment of the Pakistan players. I agree with Afridi that he and his countrymen were humiliated at the auction.
“The question is: why were they allowed to stay in the auction if no one was going to bid for them? Something far more sinister was bubbling behind the scenes and the players themselves knew nothing about it. It’s unfortunate that two very proud cricketing nations are again at loggerheads,” he said.
Now I say – It’s high time for the Pakistanis, mad Wahabbi Talibanis and their patrons around the world to realize that India is a country where the people have the courage to speak the truth. They can stand for principles. Forget the radical and fringe elements in India. They don’t represent India. The true Indians are broad-minded, honest, courageous, accommodative and not religiously blinkered like them.
It’s not simply the game of cricket but the Indian values which you have upheld Chidambaram.
Let’s know our Modi(s); lest we forget!
It’s interesting to note that Modi had confessed to committing the offences before a North Carolina court and entered a ‘plea bargain’, which is permitted under the US law.
IN 1985 the chief of the Indian Premier League, Lalit Modi, was convicted of possessing drugs, kidnapping and assault in the US. He was a university student then. Durham County had charged Modi with kidnapping, assault and possession of 400 grams of cocaine. It’s interesting to note that Modi had confessed to committing the offences before a North Carolina court and entered a ‘plea bargain’, which is permitted under the US law and allows a reduced punishment without a trial if the accused confesses to his or her crimes.
The Durham County Court had accepted Modi’s plea bargaining application and found him guilty of kidnapping and assault. On Modi’s request, the court placed him on five years probation, asking him to undergo 100 hours of community service. The decision on sentencing for possession of drugs was deferred for five years on the condition that a $50,000 cash bond was deposited with the court. This is a normal practice in North Carolina for first-time offenders.
The court sentenced him to two years imprisonment and fined him $10,000.
Of Course, he didn’t serve two years jail sentence. He was simply let off on probation.
Modi’s lawyers believe that the US court did not pass any final judgment on the drugs charge in the next five years and the cash bond was also discharged. It is worth to mention that North Carolina rules allow first-time offenders in drugs cases to be given the benefit of deferred sentences.
Modi had moved the court again in 1986 — after graduating from Duke University — seeking permission to move to India on health grounds. The court ordered: “As a fact the defendant has been hospitalized, his doctors indicate that a return to his home in India would facilitate his recovery. The said probation be modified to unsupervised probation. As a condition, the defendant is to perform 200 hours of community service by 1990. He may return to his home.”
In India our Supreme Court has been hearing a petition challenging Modi’s position as a cricket official since 2005. In Supreme Court a petitioner Kishore Rungta, who was defeated by Modi in the elections, had challenged Modi’s election as president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association on the grounds that its rules do not permit anyone convicted of a criminal offence to hold the post of an office-bearer.
And here is a headline about another giant of Gujrat Politics:
Ahmadabad -The Gujarat High Court on Wednesday asked the state Advocate General when the time would be “mature” enough to summon Chief Minister Narendra Modi and others before the State-appointed commission probing the 2002 Godhra train attack and the Gujarat riots that followed.
These are the two icons of Indian Capitalism.
I’ve stopped reading between the lines.
The stalk with a white rose
No matter how innocent the mistake might be, it is unacceptable. It was prudent at the part of Indian Government that it has accepted the fault. Pak Air Chief’s picture on such an exclusive advertisement was a monumental blunder. The Minister of W.C.D. should resign immediately. Now, funny side of the story: “The aggrieved party in this case is Mr. Tanweer Ahmed also as his picture got its way without his permission.” The sunny side of the story,”As the people involved couldn’t make difference between the two security officers let the enmity between the two nations that were one 60 years ago, should turn into mutual respect and friendship. When the Berlin Wall can fall and two Vietnams can unite, when European countries who had fought 2 World Wars can bury the hatchet, why the India and Pakistan can’t come closer once again? It is easy to gain popularity by talking about flashing of swords. However, a stalk of White Rose,a symbol of love and mutual respect is always a welcome sight.
Mr. Pachauri is confused
Mr. Pachauri is national icon. It is sad that such a serious matter like the melting of glaciers was taken so casually under his stewardship. It was not only in India but everyone concerned, around the globe, was looking at him for proper guidance. The mistake in the report was a monumental one as it gave a very bad name to India as a whole. Once I happened to visit an important lab and someone asked the scientist-in charge: if someone commits a particular mistake, how would you react? The answer of the scientist was – If you can commit mistake here you are not meant to be here. The eminent scientist is also cornered for his lavish life style. Scientists or scholars who flaunt their wealth or seen to be doing so are no more taken in high esteem by the general public. I wish Pachauri come out clean from this unwanted situation.
Hate begets hate
It was only a year ago when IPL had refused to compromise on the schedule of the time of matches. They wanted to organise the matches in the country when the security forces were stretched for general election duties. Where was the desh prem or national pride of IPL dons that time? Did the IPL not bring bad name for the country the world over as a great power which couldn’t manage one cricket series. IPL commissioner Lalit Modi enlightened the cricket lovers with these words: “Many other players were not sold, I don’t see too much into this.” Availability is the new mantra.
Moral grounds are too high grounds and could be ignored. It’s not one season of cricket match that IPL destroyed, it’s the ship of basic principles of mutual respect and spirit of sports that IPL has torpedoed. Yes, Pakistan government has always failed to act reasonably and effectively in all the situation of terrorism, but extirpating the roots of basic decencies is not what was needed. If it has felt so strong on this issue, there was no need to invite or include the Pakistani players in the list of auctions. Cricket had always been the last channel of saner communication. We have never heard any Paki player talking ill about India. It had defeated the efforts of Vajpayee and every saner element looking for better relation with the neighbor. It has shattered the dream of every peace loving Indian who thinks that enmity between India and Pakistan will serve no purpose. It has fanned to flames of hatred once again between the bruised countries. What a cheap and idiotic point IPL won!
Rainbow colours of Google
Google went for a strong retaliation against these hackers by hacking them right back. There are many more moves that might follow in this cyber war between the titans. Let us see how the Google navigates the Animal Farm.
THE RULES of expression of political thoughts and activities on the Internet are pretty simple and very complex at the same time. You are free to dance the way you like America. Play as long and as much as you want in the fabric of the net but don’t brush away national security.
In the Middle East, as in some South American dictatorships and China, the ubiquitous censors monitor every word what you write. In India we are a very sensible and sensitive democracy. We do willy-nilly try to follow the game of golden-mean. Information Technology Act of 2008 gives the following guidelines:
Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has the power to block sites and remove content to maintain “public order,” as well as for national security and to preserve friendly relations with foreign states.
It requires companies to have a point of contact to receive government blocking requests.
A committee of Indian officials with representatives from ministries such as Law and Home Affairs would review blocking requests.
The accused party/company would have 48 hours to present a case.
Company officials who don’t assist the government when blocking is mandated would face a fine and up to seven years in jail.
India’s Penal Code, Section 295A
So far the things are almost running smoothly and there have been no evidence of any major violations from any horizon.
However, the recent confrontation between China and Google does make an interesting story.
A worldwide company DIT was founded in 2001 to provide low-cost, reliable Internet services for people living under repressive regimes. DIT’s DynaWeb is a constantly updated, free proxy network designed to circumvent Internet blocking. On 15 September, a volunteer working with DynaWeb, observed that Google’s Chinese news was giving one result in China and another in the United States. Bill Xia, CEO of Dynamic Internet Technology (DIT) said, “We were able to confirm this report through proxies in China. Search results inside China do not contain news from blocked sites.”
Google tried to water down the issue and made the following response:
“In order to create the best possible news search experience for our users, we sometimes decide not to include some sites, for a variety of reasons. They may display improperly in our service, or be inaccessible to users. We have not included links to a number of sources that are not accessible to mainland China Internet users.”
Xia remained unconvinced. “The Chinese government controls the media and the military and through them, is able to create a ‘Matrix’ that hides web sites that relate to civil rights and opinions the Chinese authorities don’t want people to see. I condemn it and urge the public to demand that Google explains how it’s able to justify the practice.” Xia also said that he has demonstrated that Google is using geographical differentiation to display different results to different locations.
Baidu.com is a largest Chinese search engine and Google also has a minority share in it. Two years ago, Baidu infuriated many Chinese Internet users as China’s censors had installed new filtering software to keep unwanted information out of the country.
Despite the intellectual flexibility and discretion shown by Google it found that the hackers had attacked 33 other companies, including American companies like Adobe and others. The sophistication of attacks strongly suggests that this operation was either launched by the Chinese government’s agencies, or was approved by them at the least. US Government still cannot do much about it, as Google is unable to prove the allegation on the 100 per cent involvement of the Chinese government.
Google went for a strong retaliation against these hackers by hacking them right back. There are many more moves that might follow in this cyber war between the titans. Let us see how the Google navigates the Animal Farm.
Life, Death & Resurrection

There is the existence of an extraordinary methodical organization presiding over the arrangement of phenomena of life and then of death. There are the earths somewhere in the universe similar to our own earth and the nature of the origin of life is aquatic which all are explained in Qur’an as
“Allazi Khalaqos samavat –e vul arz –e – va ma bainahoma”
(Al-furqan)
[Allah is the one who created the heavens and the earth and all that between them].
“Vo hoval lazi kahalaqal laila vuu nahara vas shamsa vul kamara kollo fi falakain yasbahoon”
(Al Ambiya)
[Allah is the one who created the night, the day, the sun & the moon. Each one is traveling in an orbit with its own motion.]
And in the same Soora-e-Al Ambiya He says
“ Va ja ulna minil ma e kola sha in haiyin afala yomenoon.”
[The Almighty God says- We got every thing out of the water, will they then not believe.]
Then he says in Soora –e – Alaq
[Allah fashioned man from something which changes
“Khalaqal insane min alaq”]
Soor –e – Almominun He says “ Summa Khalaqanunnotfata alaqa tan fa khalaqnul alaqata mozahatan fa khalaqnul mozahata izaman fakasonal izama lahmn soma unsha nahoo khalaqan akhera.Fatabarakal la ho ahsanal khabqeen”
[We arranged the things which chings into a chewed lump of flesh and we disciplined the cheved flesh into bones & we covered the bones with active flash. Then we created out of it another creature. So Blessed be allah who is the perfect creator.]
In this way we find the mechanism of the origin of life and also that of man whose all the stages of embryologic development to the young ones are explained in Qur’an which could science discover after a prolonged biochemical & technical struggle.
In Qur’an, para number 28 He says
“ Allazi khalaqa maota vul hayata leyublomakum aiyokon ahsano amalan (b) vo hovul azeezol ghafoor”
[We created life & death so that can test & judge the deeds.]
Qur’an is a collection of commands and devine teaching revealed by allah to his Mohammad .He says “It is allah that takes the souls (of men) at death…” (39:42) and it is also mentioned again & again “When death approaches one of you, our angles take his soul & they never fail in their duty” (6:61) and it all is scientifically proved that death is the state when some invisible power leaves the body.
Then there is the resurrection of the creatures which is the life after death for the judgement of good & evil deeds of anima rationalis (Ashraful Makhloogat ) Which is clear in all the commands of Allah “Kollo nafson zaiqatul mot” and he says it is allah who give you life ,death & who will gather you together for the day of judgment .. “ and the death is not the end of life but only the transfer from this world to another & this would decides the fate of life after death in the other would .
In this way everything about life ,death and resurrection is clearly sxplained in Qur’an , the book of entire Knowledge & allah’s mission which revealed all the facts that science & technology discover later but if we would have the ability to understand Qur’an , all the scientific discoveries & mysteries might be within our reach through our book of knowledge the Holy Qur’an –e -Hakeem

One failed to flew over the Cuckoo’s nest
We got prosperity for few and the society began to crack, crumble and stink under the vices of modernisation. The human values that were once the hallmark of our Indian culture were pushed to the back-burner or forgotten in a short span of few years.
I WISH someone would tell me a good news these days. Though these are the best of the times and these are the worst of the times as Dickens might have said. To begin with the new year in Mirpur, the Sri Lankans showed us the slot of number two. Sania Mirza said she won’t play tennis after marriage.
We have been trying to forget the crude smile of Rathore as he was coming out but he did put us wise by telling us the source of his inspiration. It is a time when army officers, police officers and judges are caught entangled in, euphemistically speaking, anti-social activities. It is the time when in big cities, mothers count their kids before they go to bed.
Let us not talk about the BPO culture where you don’t know what your kids are up to. Our beloved Prime Minister, under the guardianship of another late Prime Minister, had brought progress for the nation. We got some new cars, new riches and new visionaries whose ambit never touched the shivering Indian, who is lost in the cruel street of life.
We got prosperity for few and the society began to crack, crumble and stink under the vices of modernisation. The human values that were once the hallmark of our Indian culture were pushed to the back-burner or forgotten in a short span of few years.
Today, the emerging India has been transformed into a heartless nation where only the money speaks. It is time when ‘3 Idiots’ succeed and ‘Kurban’ finds its way to the bottom of the pit. It is the time when Indians are getting Nobel Price. It is the time when we have organised the biggest Car-Show upon earth.
It is the time when both Ambanis are looking at each other and smiling. It is the time when Vijay Mallya has brought out a new year calendar which would make a feast for your eyes. It is the time when Tiger Wood has decided to banish his wild oats and seek the help of reformatory. It is the time when government has finally decided to do something to bring down the prices.
In this prevailing atmosphere of happiness and supposed sorrows some wise acre decided to give some lollipops of consolation as ‘Right of Information Concept’. Some people believed that they can jump the walled city of sanity. In an age when the judges of Supreme Court are averse to this very concept if it hurts them, one simpleton tried to flew over the cuckoo’s nest. He paid the price.
Right to Information (RTI) activist Satish Shetty, who exposed many land scams in Maharashtra, was killed by unidentified men while on a morning walk at Talegaon on the outskirts of this city on Wednesday (January 13).
“Around 7.15am, when Shetty was on his morning walk, some unidentified people assaulted him and injured him seriously. He was rushed to a private hospital, but succumbed later,” Pradeep Aphale, investigating officer of Talegaon Police Station, said.
According to a colleague, 38-year-old Shetty left home around 6.45 am for his usual morning walk when some people attacked him with swords near Bhandari Hospital. Shetty, a systematic whistleblower, was credited with throwing light on several major land scams in the picturesque Talegaon-Lonavala regions, now a favourite with realtors in the state.
He shot to fame after exposing certain corrupt land deals in and around the country’s first expressway, the Mumbai-Pune expressway, over a decade ago.
Now he is gone beyond questioning the right of information. Those who are ardent religious in faith could console themselves with a thought that he might have failed in fulfilling his mission in his life but dear Lord would provide him every information in the heaven. The whistle blower’s whistle has been silenced for ever. Someone has to pay the price of prosperity. Isn’t insanity to talk about one murder when thousnads and thousands of humans are being killed by Haiti’s earthquake ?
